Principled Procurement: Targeted Training for Heritage Projects

Speakers and delegates

The 2012 Heritage Skills Initiative Conference held in Durham on 24th April was a resounding success. With 70 delegates from a wide range of organisations and a host of excellent speakers the day yielded some very fruitful discussion. This will help to inform a set of guidance notes for those looking to include training on their live heritage projects. Presentations from the day are available here.
If you would like to chat to the HSI team about including training in your project, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

CUMBRIA HERITAGE SKILLS FESTIVAL 2012

The festival will take place on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th September at Heron Corn Mill, Beetham. Tickets will be free to the public and the event is an excellent way to promote your heritage skill. In 2011 it attracted 1,600 members of the public over the weekend, with craftspeople gaining job opportunities directly from their attendance at the festival.

If you would like more information on how you can take part in this year’s festival please contact Kate McAleer on 07557 399 239 or email kate.mcaleer@nect.org.uk
